Statement of Mission

The English Language Schools (ELS) exist as an evangelistic tool of the local church and the Japan Union Conference, to implement the message and mission of God's remnant movement in co-operation with the Japan Union Conference goals and strategic plans which are designed to finish the God-given task of sharing Salvation's Story which the people of Japan. We want to be part of the fulfillment of the Gospel Commission given in Matthew 28:19,20.

It is the purpose and ultimate objective of the ELS to present to the students who attend, the gospel of Jesus Christ through the Three Angels' Messages. The ELS endeavor to do this by providing the highest possible quality of instruction in English conversational skills and Bible instruction. Experience as a Volunteer Missionary in Japan will further develop character, skills, talents and gifts for continued Christian service in the future.

It is our purpose to work together for the good of the Japanese people in a way that they can understand. We must, therefore, be willing to adapt and adjust within the Japanese culture.

It is our hope that we all will catch the spirit of faith, the vision, and the mission that Christ had when He was here among us as the Servant of men. Such an attitude looks beyond all the trials and hardships that come our way and keeps us focused on Christ, the source of all our strength and growth.
